Reverend Frederick H. Mills was born and raised by his single mother, Diane G. Mills, in Queens, New York. At the tender age of 18, he moved to Buffalo, New York to attend the State University of New York College at Buffalo.  This move gave him the opportunity to serve ten years in ministry at the Love Alive Fellowship Baptist Church (Love Alive), where the pastor is Dr. Jeffery B. Bowens. At Love Alive, he dutifully served in many capacities, holding positions such as an Ordained Minister, Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Ordained Deacon, and Chairman of the Trustee Department.



In September 2002, God further orchestrated his steps by relocating him and his family to Poughkeepsie, New York. While in Poughkeepsie He assisted in ministry at the Beulah Baptist Church (Beulah), where Dr. Jesse V. Bottoms is the pastor. At Beulah, He served in various ministries, specifically the Marriage Ministry, Education Department as well as an Associate Minister. In April 2006, Reverend Bottoms installed Reverend Mills as the Senior Pastor of the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church (Star), Beacon, New York. 



After pastoring ten years at Star, the congregation enjoyed a spike in membership growth.  Under his ministry led by God, through Star, the city of Beacon and the surrounding areas had been ameliorated through community services, providing a food pantry, meals for elderly seniors, clothing to those in need, youth mentorship; educational scholarships, and an effective evangelism outreach ministry.  

Reverend Mills obtained his Master of Divinity at the Louisiana Baptist University (LBU) Seminary. Reverend Mills holds a Master of Theological Studies from LBU and a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York College at Buffalo. Reverend Mills is the recipient of many awards, certificates and citations from his work in the community and not-for-profit boards he has served over the years. He has almost 30 years’ of experience ministering to families, married couples, singles, seniors, children, and single mothers.

Reverend Mills has worked in a bi-vocational capacity for fifteen plus years as a Vice President in commercial banking and the investment industry. He has attained 33 years of banking experience. The financial skills he has acquired in this field has helped serve the community by him providing Personal Financial Management workshops.

God divinely relocated Reverend Mills and his family to Charlotte, North Carolina in July 2016. By God’s grace and unmerited favor, in August 2017, Reverend Mills was called to pastor the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Huntersville, North Carolina. Since his tenure at Mount Olive, through the leading of the Holy Spirit, the church membership has grown voluminously. New and reactivated ministries have emerged to serve the needs of the community and congregation. Pastor and church are most notably known for the outreach efforts in providing food, clothes and other necessities to thousands of families throughout the Charlotte area and vicinity.

He has been happily married for 34 blissful years to Latricia D. Mills, who he affectionately calls his "Wife for Life".  He is the proud father and grandfather.
